Premier Li Keqiang had a phone conversation with Greek Prime Minister on the Piraeus Port project cooperation

On the afternoon of January 19, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang had a phone conversation with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.

Premier Li Keqiang pointed out that China-Greece relations have maintained a good momentum of development with gratifying progress scored in their practical cooperation in various fields. China appreciates the Greek government for attaching importance to developing relations with China and for supporting the development of China-Europe ties. He expected that, taking the opportunity of the 10th anniversary of their comprehensive strategic partnership, the two countries can enhance political mutual trust and score new achievements in key areas and large cooperation projects.

Premier Li Keqiang added that the deepened cooperation between China and Greece in Port of Piraeus project and others is conducive for the two countries to achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcome. Premier Li hopes that the Greek government could offer more favorable conditions and support for Chinese enterprises to invest and develop in Greece.

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said that the Greek government attaches great importance to the relations and cooperation with China, and is ready to keep close high-level exchanges with China and push for new progress of the Port of Piraeus project and other large cooperation projects, so as to promote greater development of their comprehensive strategic partnership in the coming decade.
